Alicia Keys visits Agape
On Easter Monday Alicia Keys visited Agape! A unique experience for the children, who are big fans of her. Alicia took her time for the kids, visiting the center, took the kids out for dinner and performed.
Alicia Keys is co-founder and ambassador of
Keep a Child Alive. This organization supports projects in Africa to help children affected by HIV/AIDS. One of these projects is Agape.
The children enjoyed the visit a lot. After having spent a few hours with them at Agape, it was time for a big dinner in Durban. For children not used to eating with cutlery, drinking from wineglasses and choosing what to have for dinner, the dinner was an experience in itself. At the end of the day they got to go with their idol to one of her performances.
The children could not have wished for a more beautiful Easter Monday. Alicia Keys was also impressed:
'The children of AGAPE are an amazing group of children who have suffered so much, but we feel their spirit in their voices. It’s just so moving and pure.'
