Project update: Bobbi Bear

opent in een nieuw venster Thanks to a donation made by Uthando, 11 caregivers working at Bobbi Bear have completed a renomated course on HIV/AIDS. For caregivers working with abused children, their families and their community, it is vitally important to be well informed about developments regarding HIV/AIDS. This course offered the participants both a way to improve their knowledge and skills about HIV/AIDS, and gave them a chance to think about the impact of HIV/AIDS on their lives, professional as well as personal.

The level of knowledge and understanding of HIV/AIDS of the participants had improved greatly. The caregivers themselves said they were very happy to have taken the course. Not only did they learn vital knowledge and skills, they also gained a lot of self-confidence, which clearly showed in the enthusiasm with which they went to work afterwards.
